I have a Bamboo Pen CTL-460 tablet and it always worked fine on my MacBook, but the drivers on my new Windows 10 Acer just do not work. I can move the mouse and click with the tablet, but there's no pressure sensitivity in my drawing programmes (Photoshop Cs6, FireAlpaca) and it's a little jerky in Photoshop.

I have a Wacom Bamboo CTH-460 that I've had for years and I wanted to dust it off today. I plug it in, windows searches for some drivers and comes back with some driver that has what looks like a mouse on it. Then the tablet starts to function and lights up. When I touch it with my finger it works like it should, when I try the pen it senses it but shows the orange light with no other response. I try a few different drivers restart my computer a few times. I try to uninstall those and install the one listed on the wacom website with CTH by it.

Although Wacom does not specify the activation force required to initiate a pen stroke, the force needed for the Bamboo Ink feels much lower than the current Surface Pro 4's pen. That means the Bamboo Ink registers ink on the screen with less pressure.

Bamboo Ink supports up to 4,096 pressure levels, which is a significant improvement from the Surface Pro 4's 1,024 levels. It also comes with interchangeable nibs in the box at three various levels (soft, medium, and firm). Wacom is cagey on the exact specifications of Bamboo Ink, so the activation force is currently unknown (more on that below). Wacom is also known for having a more triangular shape to its pens versus round barrel design as found in the Surface Pen.
